Results Confirmation of de- and subsequent remyelination in the standardized CPZ model in C57BL/6 mice To standardized the CPZ model, we used young adult male C57BL/6 mice aged 8-weeks for CPZ feeding at a dose of 0.2%(w/w) in all experiments (Hiremath et al., 1998).Before tracking OL lineage cell dynamics in this standardized CPZ model, we first confirmed and mapped out a detailed time course with mainly 1-week intervals for the CPZ-induced demyelination and subsequent remyelination after drug withdrawal, with the whole course lasting up to 9 weeks, as shown in the diagram in (Fig.1A)
